Nanchang Village

We visited a village on the outskirts of Nanchang today. The people were very open and friendly. The village was a combination of old and new. Some of the buildings were very old and some looked very modern. There were chickens, ducks and dogs running around. The streets had sewer trenches on either side where the waste just flows down. So I don't have to tell you that the smells were terrible. In the afternoon we went for a walk and had a good time watching all the people and they were fasinated by us.
Lilli is still doing great. She is now rolling over by herself. She has such a sweet disposition and is a very happy and content baby. I brought a bunch of toys with us but her favorite thing to play with is wrappers. She loves the sound of plastic crunching. She is also very friendly and smiles at everyone who pays attention to her. The other Lily is thankfully doing better, she went to the hospital and they put her on antibiotics for tonsilitis. She is coming around slowing.
All the other babies are beginning to adjust slowly to their new families. Some have had a very hard time because the foster moms have been coming to the hotel in hopes of seeing the baby and when the baby sees her they start screaming and crying. It is a very sad situation.
